Looking at the ISTE standard for Collaborators: Educators dedicate time to collaborate with both colleagues and students to improve practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems, this app allows for collaboration with students and with faculty and staff. BlueJeans could be used for team meetings when planning curriculum If using BlueJeans, teachers can be in the comfort of their own homes while meeting with team members. BlueJeans could be used inside the classroom as a tool to meet/communicate with students from all over the world. This allows for multicultural teaching and learning. Students could learn about different cultures and how they interact with the world. This could also be used for citizenship education on how to communicate to people when you can’t speak a certain language and how to be respectful to different cultures.
I could also use BlueJeans as a way to have parent teacher conferences with parents who can’t ever come into the school or maybe for divorced parents. This would save the time of two-four different parent-teacher conferences by just having one conference on BlueJeans.
BlueJeans could also be used for collaboration with counselors and discussing how to help students that I need a little outside help with.
