How is this relevant to your future classroom? How could you use this? You could also discuss the ISTE standards you chose here.

Adobe Spark

The ISTE Leader Standard for Educators is relevant to the use of this app. Teachers can provide modified lessons by linking different assignments to presentations for specific students. The apps are free and accessible for multiple devices. Students can create video/movie presentations or create a presentation that they can share with the class for them to use for studying with each other. I would love to use Adobe Spark pages to make presentations that are interactive with links to articles and assignments . It would be helpful when a student misses class because I can send them the presentation with video homework instructions and assignments embedded in it.

This is extremely relevant to my future classroom because with the computer science standards being implemented now in OK, this could be a fun and easy way to meet them. I really liked learning a new alternative other than sending home a weekly newsletter to the parents that they rarely ever read. This could be something they could listen to while driving that is easy!

My thoughts

I kinda really enjoyed teaching the others about the lazer cutter. I also now know what I would need to do better next time

I thought adobe spark post was a very cool and versatile app. It reminded me a lot of Canva, with similar templates and purposes. After choosing a template and creating my recipe, I realized that it was quite easy to use but could be used for so many things. The first thing I thought for students was that they could make birthday invitations, could make cards, or could make flyers of some sort. For teachers, we could use it to make invitations to parent teacher conferences or other class activities that request parental involvement. Using something with so much creative drive makes for much more inviting gestures. It makes it look well thought out and meticulously crafted when in all reality it was just a matter of choosing a template and adding words. It could be used for recipes, wedding invitations, graduation invitations, flyers, etc. There really is no limit as to what can be done with it. Students could use it to even write a summary of a book, choosing a nice book-like background and making it creative in their own way. Students could use it for an all-about-me project and they could all be printed and hung on the wall together.  They could write letters to their teacher, classmates, etc. because it provides a creative way to communicate ideas. The possibilities are endless and I think it is simple enough for students of all ages to use, and I think I could see myself using it in all of the ways I mentioned here.

Spark page is my FAVORITE thing! I absolutely love this app. I will definitely use this to present lessons in my future classroom. I think students will enjoy it too, especially the buttons! Spark page is organized well and easy to read and follow. Also, it will be a great tool for my classroom because it’s so easy to share! I can easily send the link to my students so they can use it at home to finish their work, or send to my students who missed a day of class. I also think this would be a great tool for my students that are working on a project. I think some students would like it better than something like book creator. I seriously want to tell the world s out this app! It’s just so great.

Summary of iMovie professional development.

I would use this in my classroom for multiple reasons. I could use it as a collaborative group project with my students, which would allow them to work together and grow in their knowledge of the app. I could also use it as a way to record the things we do in class and send out those videos to parents.

The workshop helped me familiarize myself with the adobe suite more. It gave me ideas on how I could incorporate all of the apps in my classroom for collaborative and entertaining activities. I choose learner because the workshop helped me hone skills and learn new things about a technology that I was not familiar with.

Professional Media

I will use these apps a lot in my classroom. I love how user-friendly they are, yet they create such beautiful and professional products. I am excited to use these apps to communicate with parents, create newsletters, and display classroom work. I am also really excited to have my students use these apps in their daily classroom activities and projects. All in all, I think this is going to provide my classroom with very professional media that is visually appealing and enjoyable to create.

Podcasting

I thought this PD was very useful. I have heard podcasts before but I never realized that making it was so easy. The ease of making it helps me think that I could potentially use this in my classroom no matter what grade I teach. Depending on the grade that I teach, I could incorporate a podcast in my classroom. For younger students, you could have a pre-determined topic and have groups of students take turns speaking for the podcast. For older students, you could give them a little more freedom. Students could choose a topic to talk about, and it could be more frequent, or even on their free time. I could see myself using this app to create a class podcast. I think it would be interesting to use as a way to inform parents of what their children are doing from the perspective of the students.

This is relevant to my future classroom because my children could do so many things with the Keynote app. They could create a presentation using drawings of themselves that they have animated in ChatterPix. They could line draw an animal or shape and overlay their voice to explain the different parts as they draw. Since everything is already online, it would very easy to upload their projects to SeeSaw or a digital portfolio where I could keep track of all their work and their parents could see what they were doing every day in class.

I really enjoyed using this app! I think it’s a great one to use to give students the opportunity to really express themselves in a creative way. For this workshop, I made a graphic on how to make cereal. It is very fun and easy to use. There are plenty of options when it comes to choosing templates, fonts, and colors. Templates include lifestyle, food, business, school, and travel. There are options to make collages, different seasonal graphics, and even advertisements for companies. This app can be used for different projects for both school and outside of school. Students should have no problem making something fun and eye catching. I will most definitely use this app in my future classroom!
