Reflection

The chrome extensions have been extremely helpful and the quick access to them enables you to save time. Not only is it user & time friendly but it makes learning fun (bitmoji extension) and aids in the virtual teaching environment (screencastify). 

Screencastify is probably one of my favorite Chrome Extensions because I can record something and save it to my laptop for later. I can even edit my video and save it to my drive for future purposes. Another extension that I love is my confetti canon. I use this to celebrate a success that a student has achieved. 

Chrome extensions have made a huge difference for me! Especially while making my Bitmoji Classrooms for my students. I can easily access my bitmoji and add them into my slides. I also enjoy using Screencastify. I can screen record and also record myself quickly. These two are both great extensions for me! 

Easy access to the apps and extensions has made a tremendous impact on my productivity.  Screencastify has been a saving grace when trying to provide How To assistance with intervention programs.

It has allowed me to create training videos that take less than 2 minutes to view. I have attached these to Cheat Sheets...so when we forget processes...it is a quick refresher! Efficiency!

The chrome apps have been very helpful and are extremely user friendly. It has allowed me to keep everything organized.  I am able to share what I need to share with my teachers immediately.

The Chrome extensions that I use the most are the bitmoji extension in my google classroom, and the Screen Castify extension. I use the Bitmoji extension to personalize my virtual classroom and make it more fun for my students. I use Screen Castify to make videos or tutorials for class. 

I use the bitmoji extension EVERY day to personalize our daily virtual meetings. I can also easily help colleagues or students with step by step instructions using the screen castify extension. 

In my position of curriculum specialist, I use Google apps such as Docs, Slides, Gmail and Google Meet on a daily basis. They are easily accessible through Google Chrome on all my devices and I am able to keep everything organized through the use of Google Drive. As a former high school mathematics teacher, I greatly appreciate some of the extensions that allow me to properly type of mathematical expressions/equations. EquatIO allows me to easily create graphs and insert them into resources I am creating to help support UCISD teachers and students. 

Chrome Extensions truly changed my life in this virtual world. I can change my cursor to bring attention to the what I want the teachers to look at. I can also celebrate my teachers by doing a confetti popper. I also really enjoy adding a personal touch with my bitmoji.

Knowing where my Chrome tabs and extensions are consistently housed on my computer is a big plus for this dinosaur!  I also love how I can color code and label in a new feature, or new to me - "Add Tab to Group" - I love my colors.
