Description:
This module empowers you to take "baby steps" towards incorporating movement into your daily schedule. Implementing physical activity in the classroom can be a significant change for both teachers and students. Taking small steps (initially) allows for a gradual adaptation to the new approach, reducing the likelihood that students or the teacher will get overwhelmed. It gives everyone involved the time and space to adjust to the shift in the learning environment.
You will actively engage in the practical application of the course content by planning a physical activity to present to your class. A hands-on experience is emphasized as you implement the chosen activity for your students.
Task:
- Review simple classroom physical activity options using the links in the resources (below) or from the many other available options.
- Select an activity that aligns with your style and classroom dynamics.
- Complete the evidence below.
- Implement your chosen activity.
