Quizlet Live in the Classroom

Quizlet Live is a great tool to encourage team building.  While teaching a new concept through gradual release, this offers an engaging step when transitioning from "we do" to "I do."  It also offers a great review tool to us as incentive if everyone in class completes what they need; I can end the class with a Quizlet Live over something we have already covered.

Quizlet Live

I use this all the time! It's great for collaboratively solving difficult Chemistry concepts or reviewing material before an assessment. I've also used it to introduce new material on occasion to assess prior knowledge.

How can I use quizlet live?

I can use quizlet live for practicing math skills (fractions) while also encouraging collaboration. Using quizlet live will force my students to have a conversation about why their answer would be correct and provide and opportunity for them to teach each other if their teammate gets stumped. This also will have students talking to each other and encouraging one another. I could also see this being used for science skills, vocabulary, or even story comprehension.

My first thought is to use this for vocabulary practice

Quizlet live research.

Quizlet live helps students learn to work together since only one of them has the right answer. It also forces everyone to contribute, so no kid can zone out and not participate. It sounds like a great way to learn or review vocabulary. You can use it to teach vocabulary because it will give them the right answer if they get it wrong.

I think I would use it in a few ways. A) fun brain break about a topic that is unrelated B) starting a new unit C) reviewing a unit

This is an AMAZING feature for Quizlet. Unfortunately, when I was on today it looked like it might become a paid feature. :( I can take any of my flashcard sets...multiplication, division, content vocabulary... And transform it into a fun class competition!

Great for review.

As I am getting ready for finals week, I can see this being a great tool for reviewing material.  I also think kids would enjoy this because they get to work in groups.

Quizzlet live

This would be so great for Science. We have so many new and confusion science words. Practicing before a live competition would be fun. I think kids would actually do it instead of reading through notes. When it cam e for a live team competition I can see my class really getting into it.
I have to admit i checked out all the features not just the live part. The learning, games and matching look very promising too.

Quizlet

I love the idea of quizlet for a review! Kids remember the content really well because they have to repeat it.

+/- Facts or Sight Words

Similar to playing Kahoot in teams, this looks like a fun way to engage my students in reviewing math facts or sight words while also working on basic collaboration skills- taking turns, being ok when you are outvoted by the team, welcoming everyone's ideas, etc.

Math Facts and Vocabulary

I think this would be a fun way to work on math facts or concepts with students! I think it would also be a great way to reinforce the Wonders vocabulary!
