Data highlighted students' inability to apply letter sound knowledge

I have a handful of students who are already receiving several reading interventions but could use some extra phonics support. I gave the consonant pretest to these students and found that even though they are able to tell me the letter names and sounds with a good deal of accuracy, they are not necessarily able to apply that knowledge with consistency (identifying the picture that begins with a given letter).
