Impact on Teaching #1

What right do students have when they are at school or a school function. Students are always the resident experts on their rights - especially on their divine right to free speech or limitation of their civil liberties.  The knowledge about what students can and cannot do, especially when our students want to protest or planned walk-out, is important to know so that all teachers can provide guidance on the matter.

I created this digital citizenship poster using Piko Chart. This tech integration class gave me so many awesome ideas about how I can further integrate technology in the classroom. We looked at the 8 elements of digital citizenship:

Digital Access
Digital Commerce 
Digital Communication
Digital Literacy
Digital Etiquette 
Digital Law
Digital Health and Wellness
Digital Security 

The poster I created has different activities for the 8 different elements. 

I learned about using a S.M.A.R.T rubric to test all of the goals I write to make sure the are challenging, measurable, meaningful and pass the stranger test. It has definitely changed how I write goals.  I have shared the resource with other new teachers in my building.
