Keynote

www.appleteacher.apple.com

Have teachers complete the training for Keynote on the website. They would upload the certificate of completion on here to earn the badge.

Ideas

My second idea is getting a badge for eating healthy. Maybe using an app like lose it and showing healthy eating within a few weeks. You could post screen shots of what you’ve had.

Create Bear Spirit

The person should tweet a photo of themselves at an after school activity. They should write a reflection on their experience of seeing their students outside of a classroom.

EXPERTS in the Classroom: Invite an area professional to come to your classroom.

There is nothing more meaningful than having an expert help solve a real world problem in the classroom.

In my science classroom, would invite an engineering expert to discuss how force and motion affect airplane designs.  Who would I invite?  My father-in-law!  He works for Boeing and he uses this information in his airplane designs.

In my ELA classroom, I would invite a mystery writer who I met at a book study club.  She always wants to talk to young people about writing styles but no one ever invites her.

Evidence: photos, copies of email exchange

Summer PD Conference

Have teachers talk about summer PD conferences they went to, such as the KSDE Impact Institute, they could talk about what class stuck out most to them.

Health!!

A healthy body and mind = healthy life! Show how you de-stress through working out (walking, cycling, etc.) in order to keep yourself in the right state of mind for your kiddos! You do lead by example :)

Mystery Twitter

Along the same lines as Mystery Skype, teachers can use Twitter to facilitate the asking and answering of questions with another classroom as each class races to discover the other class's mystery number/shape/location/book. Teachers can provide a link to their tweets as evidence of the exchange.

Successes in the Classroom

Teachers should share something that inspires them, makes them smile, or was a great thing to do in the classroom. Something they might suggest another teacher could accomplish in their classroom.
