I think this would be such a fun way to do book trailers! 

It it would also be a great resource to use at an open house, parents could scan their child's desk and they could talk about their favorite part of 5th grade so far!

Students who use this app could create an AR type museum walk. Being able to bring parts of a presentation alive could ignite new passions for kids or help them remember the topic because the tool was fun to use. 

The best use I see for Aurasma in my 1st grade classroom would be to put Auras on tricky words on the word wall (because, out, etc.) to bring them to life for students. I do think that the Auras would need to be teacher made at this level.

I want to use this as a way to show other classes our Bloxels video ads. I think the students' logo could be the trigger image; then when they scanned it, the kids' video would come up. We also made a digital footprint earlier in the year and then later made a video about it. I hung their digital footprints up in the hall; I could have made them trigger images for the videos.

I also loved this idea for a hallway bulletin board! I just put up a Pokemon bulletin board, and it would be cool if the teacher's pokemon was a trigger image that brought up a video of the teacher. A potential project for next year! 
16. Faculty Photo Wall Personalize your school's entryway by hanging a photograph of each staff member. Each picture (or name/text on the picture) could be an AR trigger that allows parents to learn more about each faculty member. A great way to build relationships and P.R. using A.R.! A trigger image placed outside the door of each classroom is also a great idea for students to grab important information from the teacher without entering the room.

There are a ton of uses for Aurasma. Anything you make a video of can become an Aura too. One idea I would have never thought of but a student did. She set up an aura to trigger off our classroom window. When you do it Psy comes up doing Gangam Style. It's now one of our quick brain breaks.😂 So I got to thinking. We have our schoolwide behavior expectations on our door. Why not trigger each one with a video of kids displaying proper behavior? I really want to have the kids do booktalks and make Auras too. 

So many uses for the classroom. 

1. Centers. Have pictures laid around for different centers, it could have an audio book, video, article that you want that group to read or watch together. 

2. Gallery Walks. Students can link their writing or whatever final project, maybe it is a video to the aurasma and students go around and scan the pictures! 

Students can make their book reports come alive. Posters can come to life. Works great for yearbooks...especially to highlight music and band classes.
