Another Idea!

Book Creator + Clips + Photos

Students can create a portfolio of books read and review them throughout the year, compiled within the Book Creator.  The reviews could be recorded in clips and a photo of the cover could be added along with text that includes the title and author.  These could even be shared among classmates to help students find new books to love!

App Smashing Ideas

1. Pic Collage + Thing Link (+ Show Me/ChatterPix)
Students can create the background for their Thing Link to be specific to a project, such as creating a plot diagram for our novel.  Then they can save that to photos and upload it as the background of their ThingLink.  The targets can be text for the events, or can go a step further to explain the plot elements through videos created in Show Me and/or ChatterPix that are then linked.

2. Book Creator + Brush Ninja+ Screen Recording + Camera Roll
Students can create a book on book creator that gives examples of figurative language.  One of these examples can be created using Brush Ninja to add an animation to the digital book.  From there, they can present the book while screen recording to allow for narration.  They can then save the video to their camera roll to upload to Schoology to share with each other.

Storyboard for Bloxels project
Croak.it+Thinglink
Next week we are starting our big Bloxels project. I think it would be great to add a new audio piece to our Thinglink using Croak.it. The kids could record an audio file and link up to it in Thinglink.

Video Ad for Bloxels project
PicCollage+iMovie+Screen recording+chatterpix
I think I want to challenge the kids to make a more engaging ad for our next project. They can use their editing skills in iMovie rather than just submit a screen recording. They can use iMovie to edit the screen recording, and use PicCollage to create title slides and descriptions. They could also use Chatterpix to make it look like their Bloxels character was talking.
