Because of my own Kindergarten teacher and the people at Maplemere, I am who I am as a person and as a teacher because of all of them. My kindergarten teacher taught me how to love and be passionate about school. That is why I am a teacher today because of her. Everyone at Maplemere, especially my co-teacher made me who I am today as a teacher allowing me to grow and gain useful experiences to now share with the new mentee.

I can connect to this quote because teaching is a learning experience every day. We as teachers teach others how to learn, but when we are teaching others we often learn things as well. Each day while I am teaching I learn something new. It could be me learning something new from my colleagues or even the students I am teaching. When teaching my new mentee, not only will they be learning from me but I will also be learning from them. We never stop learning, there is always room for growth and learning.
