Arab Americans are Arabic-speaking people that live in the United  States and originally came from one of the 26 Arabic-speaking countries in the world. They are marginalized and feel left out of certain communities, especially schools.  Young people just want to fit in and will have two different personas:  one at home and one at school (intersectionality).  Assimilation is unhealthy for students because it abandons part of who they are and no one gets to know the real them.
