WOW.. The Criterion prototype would have been a writing game changer for my ELA classroom. Students receiving instant feedback on their writing for areas to improve and then allow me to go in and check that work and prioritize some of the feedback would have been an amazing way to clone myself in my classroom. It is extremely time consuming to get to each student and give them some specific feedback that they can then use to improve their initial drafts. This would give them a starting point so that they do not have to wait for me to be able to read and give feedback on their writing in order to start some of the revision work.
This obviously does not replace a teacher but seems like it would greatly enhance my ability to get to all students and help them grow as writers.
