I actually complete this course abroad, so I took a slightly different class and received credit for the Drexel equivalent. Below are both descriptions.

Course abroad: Empirical Political Research
It is critically important to use appropriate empirical evidence to evaluate
theoretical claims in political science. This course will provide a
conceptual understanding of the techniques and practical experience in
conducting political research. This course will familiarize students with a
range of approaches and methods used in the study of contemporary
political phenomena. It concentrates on understanding empirical political
research, using both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Particular
attention is paid to the collection, analysis and utilization of quantitative
data.

Drexel course: Research Design for Political Science
Introduction to basic principles of political science research design. Examines the process of formulating research questions in political science, developing theories with testable implications, and hypothesis testing. Students produce a research proposal including research question, literature review, and research design.
