July 18-19, 1991 This was paired with Sentence Writing so not sure which day which day was Word Identification

This strategy was powerful to me because I had not had much instruction on how to teach students how to read. This strategy gave me tools to help my students decode words based on prefixes, suffixes.

This is a strategy that can be utilized with students to increase word recognition and overall reading ability.

I attended this PD in February 2017.

I am the Reading Specialist at L.P.Jackson Middle School and consistently see the need for middle school students to learn new ways to decode and/or read larger words. Word ID is a perfect strategy.
