To teach the Talking Together strategy I used a variety of materials to support student engagement, acquisition and maintenance. The classroom where I am training on this strategy is equipped with a smart board. This allows for a simple power point to be displayed and then notes written on each slide as the content is covered. Each student was given a folder and handouts added each lesson. The lesson handouts were also posted to the board and held up for reference. Video clip examples of concepts were used when relevant and possible. Extension activities were supported by the para educator who followed students into their general education classes. Each of the Talking Together lessons were covered but at times due to scheduling there were weeks in between lessons requiring more review at the beginning of the lesson.
