I had the opportunity to take this strategy with learning disabilities state consultant. I had been struggling with teaching students to be able to select main ideas and details in text and them be able to state that in their own words. Being able to take in the content and be able to put in your own works is such a powerful strategy for students and is so effective in improving students comprehension.
