L - list the parts. targeted word and simple definition,
I - Identify reminding word.  sounds like new word ( must know the meaning of that word) real word
N - Note a LINCing Story - create a story short simple using reminding word & key elements of definition
C - Create a picture ( mental 1 , then on paper) include reminding word & aspects of definition
S - self test Forward  word, reminding word story to definition. & then backwards definition to story to reminder word to the word.

Loved how the training did exactly as the staps spell out the process to accessing their skill or knowledge (pre-test) model and explain practice implementation and try to self evaluate. Immediate feed back comes from the self evaluation piece as long as the students or participate is honest with themselves.

Love the wealth of resources provided and the ability to reach out later to the facilitator of the training.
