I attend the majority of the 2021 SIM Conference by watching the recordings of the sessions.

I attended the July 13-14 2021 SIM Conference by watching the recordings in September and October 2021. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the first two days live. I did attend a live session on July 15th. I did complete the session evaluations even though it was well after the conference date.

2:20:43 From  Georgie Koenig  to  Everyone : A message I need to hear. Great definition.12:23:19 From  Angela L. Bray  to  Everyone : so true12:23:34 From  Martha D. Elford  to  Everyone : The workism concept may be created by the idea that teaching is an occupation that is also a vocation.  It becomes hard to separate the two.12:24:00 From  Erika Van Order  to  Everyone : True Martha12:24:01 From  Helen Barrier (she/her)  to  Everyone : Reflection is so powerful, but at the same time, disturbing at times.12:24:14 From  Rosanne Arvin  to  Everyone : I am the example of Workism. It was how my life was before retirement b/c everything was work and who I was everyday.12:24:15 From  Barbara Millikan  to  Everyone : Context is often forgotten, and I think it’s so important.12:24:19 From  Bonnie Palasak  to  Everyone : I feel we need to relearn as a society how to communicate respectfully with others, especially when we differ in opinion.  I actually think we need to explicitly teach this in schools.12:24:29 From  Martha D. Elford  to  Everyone : Operating differently than the current conditions/contexts is exhausting.12:24:47 From  Cindy Medici  to  Everyone : I was hoping that covid would move us more to we, and I think it did for a while.  It appears that we are now more polarized than ever.12:25:01 From  Martha D. Elford  to  Everyone : Well spoken, Cindy.12:25:20 From  Kimberlee Oakes  to  Everyone : I agree with Cindy….  People are more in their silos than ever before…12:26:38 From  Joyce Agness  to  Everyone : Looking back over 40 years in education it now feels like we are starting over which can be good but we aren't really doing anything different to not make the same mistakes.12:27:52 From  Barbara Millikan  to  Everyone : Sometime people don’t know what their voice is and need to find it.12:27:56 From  Cindy Medici  to  Everyone : I agree that making a difference drives most humans12:28:08 From  Joan M Miller  to  Everyone : I think he nailed the nature of "adult" vs :adolescent."12:28:12 From  Rosemary  to  Everyone : We need to take a step out of the daily routines to appreciate and  celebrate our relationships.12:28:25 From  Bonnie  to  Everyone : We do need to find our WHY and our purpose.12:28:33 From  Kimberlee Oakes  to  Everyone : Reflection takes time.. and it’s important to schedule it.
