I was very intrigued by this session as we are currently imbedding
standards to address intervention with students who are English Language
Learners in our undergraduate and graduate programs. The session gave some
really great examples of SIM strategies and content enhancement routines that
professionals find useful in their work with ELL students. I appreciated the
individual who began sharing her data and hoped to see more concrete evidence
for the use of the strategies to meet the needs of these students. I do use SIM
strategies in my courses already. Justifying their use with ELL students
requires evidence of impact. I would like to hear more about measurable
outcomes.
