The micro-credentialing process is an important step forward for the PD network since it will provide official documentation by KUCRL of what a person knows and is able to do not only for other PDers but for the educational and business world at large. It will be an effective marketing tool for the SIM Network and its members. Over time, the important element will be the recognition and respect of the educational community for the rigor needed to earn the SIM credentials.
