I use the Cue-Do-Review steps while implementing LINCing table. I also created a colorful paper chain to help them remember the parts.

Since I have first graders I felt like the first time I introduced the table to them that it could be overwhelming. So I created a colored construction paper links and connected them like a chain. I showed them each color of the chain link represented a part of the table. I explained each part and discussed the purpose of using this tool. By starting it with a colorful "chain" I think it helped them get the concept that these parts connected to help you understand the new word we were learning. I've even had them to create their own paper chain link with a new word and complete the parts and make a chain out of it. Now that we've been doing it for a few months we are using the table but I still get out the paper chain link to help them remember each part of the LINK. I feel by bringing it down to their level it was a better way for them to start the learning process of the LINCing table.
