Challenges: Mrs. Reeves was a first year teacher. She had no background knowledge of the Question Exploration Routine or any content enhancement routines. Our curricular documents are organized using the Course and Unit Organizer which were both unfamiliar. She was also teaching new grade level science content. 

Problem Solve
: We used the QER book as a guide for her initial training before we began work on the actual QER for classroom use. We worked together on the Unit Organizer, so she had an understanding of the purpose of the essential question as it related to the unit organizer and the content. We discussed the goal of using the QER for preparing students for their upcoming unit assessment. 

Successes
: Mrs. Reeves was able to construct the QER to be used during the class periods. She used the QER in all six classes. She collected student evidence from all six classes. We were able to meet afterward to reflect on this instruction using the Cue, Do, Review and checkpoints within this checklist.
