Log for Figurative Language Instruction

The students were very receptive to using the Concept Mastery Routine Device, and exceptionally attentive during each session. One challenge I encountered was keeping the diagram positioned and visible under the document camera so students could see as I wrote on the projected document. I was able to include all students in responses soliciting input during the lesson and fully participating in both completing their individual diagrams as well as offering verbal input. During subsequent sessions, I used the Testing Ground for examples, which I did not utilize during the initial session, and I also wrote the example and non-example statements as complete sentences.
