I chose this book because I am looking for more research-based, sustainable classroom management strategies that will foster a positive and safe classroom environment for all students. I want to move beyond the reward/punishment "norm" of classroom management and delve more into how the brain works, and apply that information in the classroom, so it can benefit teachers and students.
