Ms. Cissi cleaned out some of her classroom and she gave me a set of these, one about reading and the other about writing. I have been so impressed with my current Sophomore's writing ability and their knowledge and understanding of texts when we discuss them together. However, they have not done well on cold reads, so I want to get some new ideas for enhancing reading in my classroom to recoup some of the reading time they likely lost while they were young during COVID-19.
