There are free printables, from customizable certificates to class progress charts, to keep students motivated as they use IXL! https://www.ixl.com/resources/printable-resources#smartscore Which, if any, of these resources do you plan to implement to encourage your students as they use IXL?

Live Classroom

I plan to use the live classroom feature on IXL.  I like this feature because you can see how each student is progressing through a skill.  The color coding is nice so you can see which students are struggling with the skill and may need individual help.

IXL resources

I plan on using the Live Classroom feature to assess learning as it is happening live in the classroom.  It will give me their real-time score, as well as either give them a green or red color.  If ia student comes up red, I can call them back to work with me and I can click specifically on the questions they got wrong to see what mistakes they made.

I will check out IXL Live to monitor my students' progress. I will use IXL throughout the year to reinforce and practice skills.

Resources from IXL

I plan to use the custom awards for achieving a certain amount of skills mastered next year.  I didn't know that there were custom certificates which I really like for my students with special needs due to the workload I can change the amounts needed.
I also liked the practice coupons.  I didn't even know that existed.  I think I will use these practice coupons for practicing at home.  Maybe if a student completes a skill at home they can get a coupon for more free time or pick from the prize bin.  I like that they are custom as well so I can create different kinds based on my student's needs.

I also like the progress class chart so they can see what skills they mastered and have a visual right in the classroom.  This can also serve as a reminder for me to work on the skills they are missing.

The parent handout is a great resource for parents in September.  The more information we can provide the better.

I don't think I would use the photo props.  It would be tricky to store them and the kids might like it once but later that not as much.

IXL for 7th graders

The classroom posters are a great idea and I would be all over that IF we were going to have a "normal" classroom year.  As that is in doubt or could change with positive cases, I think this year I would use the parent handout and Scavenger Hunt.  The parent handout would be a great resource if we go back to online learning and the scavenger hunt would help foster independent learning.
