How data reuse can be enabled and encouraged rather than simply expected.
A final step in making a data set public is actively enabling and encouraging data reuse. This stands in contrast to simply posting a raw data dump or making a cryptic Excel file public. To do this, we will focus on the outputs of the data set. Using Markdown, please describe how you plan to address the following issues in your data set release:
* open format for distribution. Will you be releasing your data in csv format only, or in multiple formats?
* metadata standards. Will you be releasing your data in a metadata-friendly format such as XML or JSON?
* data mapping. This involves the use of a data dictionary or codebook which is used to describe variables and units.
