How to describe the context of a data set for a general audience.
Another step in making a data set public is describing the context in which a data set is collected. This includes the information about how the data were collected, as well as references that might help secondary (or tertiary) users better understand the data. Submit a description of your data's context, and be sure to include information such as:
* data source (the data are collected using a particular survey or instrument),
* related citations (methodological background, prior work).
* provenance (properties such as the physical location or genotype of samples).
* sampling density (properties such as spatial and temporal coverage).
