This 30-hour course provides advanced instruction on general safety and health hazard awareness, identification, recognition, prevention, abatement, and control in the workplace and on the job site. This course is designed for experienced workers or individuals with some safety or supervisory responsibility. Safety Leadership topics include Safety and Health Management; Recordkeeping; Injury and Illness Prevention Programs; Safety Audits; Accident Investigation; and Emergency Planning.

Required Evidence

Complete 30 hours of advanced safety training.

Completed 30 hours of advanced instruction for general worker safety. This included coverage of learning objectives for all mandatory and approved elective topics, participation in course activities, completion of course assessments. More Info

Attend instruction on Safety Leadership topics.

Demonstrated proficiency in the following topics: Accident Investigation (1 hour), Personal Protective Equipment (1 hour), Recordkeeping (.5 hour), Safety and Health Management (.5 hour), and Safety Audits (.5 hour). More Info

Demonstrated proficiency in the following topics: Emergency Planning (1 hour), Fire Protection and Prevention (2 hours), Exit Routes (.5 hour)., and First Aid (1.5 hours). More Info

Demonstrated proficiency in the following topics: Ergonomics (1 hour), Heat Stress (1.5 hours), Industrial Hygiene (1 hour), and Silica Hazards (.5 hour). More Info
