Quizlet live is a great resource for review and for teaming building in the classroom.  Regular quizlet has a matching game where you need to clear the screen and are timed.  The live feature works best if you have at least 4 participants.  They need a code or the qr code to log into the app.  A teacher can remove a student's name if they type in something inappropriate which is a wonderful feature.  Also allows you to shuffle the teams until you are happy with them.  What I liked most about it was the team building.  Say you have two students working on the same team.  Both students may not have the same answers on each of their devices.  The answer may only be on one of the team mates devices.  This is a nice feature while working in a group so the same person isn't always just ringing in with the answer they must work together and read both. I will definitely be using this in the future especially at the end of the year when we review for the final exam.

Quizlet Live-It was a great tool. The students enjoyed it.

I played the quizlet live with my students and they really enjoyed it. They liked it because they didn’t have to wait for other people to answer. I really liked the option of playing it again as many times as they wanted. I am going to use this as part of their bell work. It will be a fun way for the students to create their own flash cards and be able to study at home and in class.

Quizlet Live

Quizlet live is a great way to get students involved in a lesson.  It is a great way to incorporate their cell phones in an appropriate way into class.  I really like that the score for all teams can be posted on a screen in the room and the groups can see who is winning in real time.  Allowing quizlet to select random teams and also being able to change that is helpful to make sure that students work with all other classmates and not the same ones.
In the future I would like to incorporate Quizlet Live to review for all tests and quizzes.  I typically use Jeopardy but this is a welcome update to that.

Benefits of Quizlet Live!

I was able to use the individual game setting when our school was remote last year and shared the main screen so the students could check their progress compared to the rest of the class. It was a useful way to provide a quick assessment of the students and their knowledge of the terms from our unit of study. I like to use the individual option as an exit ticket or even as a way to fill the extra five minutes of class. It can be used for "throw back Thursday" by bringing up an old set of terms from previous units of study to help the students review those important content pieces. The group feature seems to still work fine even with the student desks needing to be 3 feet apart. I like that it does put pressure on the students to be familiar with the words so they do not fail their group. At the same time, it does allow students who may not be as familiar with terms to have assistance from their classmates. My favorite part is that the program places the students into groups so I do not need to👍.

Quizlet Live!

Quizlet Live is the best!! I enjoyed playing this with my class so much. It required a lot of repetition and team work.  I love how the students have to look at all screens to ensure that they are looking at all of the answers.  I also love how the questions come back to repeat themselves when they are answered incorrectly.  This is such an incredible way to review while requiring critical thinking and cooperation. I find it to be a better tool than Kahoot.  I actually played this with family trivia on Christmas and it was a huge hit!

Quizlet Live!

Quizlet Live! would be a great resource to add into any classroom. I like how versatile this option is in the classroom. It's a resource that helps to immerse an entire class into a collaborative and interactive way to learn. I can see how this would help encourage more quiet students to find their voice in the classroom, afford students to fully participate in a class actitivty, & differentiate instruction by providing both remediation and enrichment. The data proivided by Quizlet Live! will allow the teacher to provide students with immediate feedback.

Quizlet Live! Reflection

I first saw Quizlet Live! in a classroom in 2017. I loved the idea of students being able to work with the content live and compete virtually against their friends. Having students play Quizlet Live! isn't only a tool to use for practice or to be more involved with the content, but this is a great formative assessment for teachers as they can see how their students progress throughout the games and find where the students struggle to understand the content.

My kids ask for this!

Quizlet seems to be used heavily by my middle school counterparts.  That makes it very familiar to my students.  They love the quick feedback from the games.

Reflection

Quizlet Live is a great tool to use for Review in class.  My students live for competition & games.  Quizlet Live would allow for them to work together, move around the room and get practice with vocabulary (which is heavy in Global History).  At the end of the game, it is so valuable to see what terms students are struggling with and provide review/reteaching opportunities.  Can't wait to use this in the future!
