A great tool for connecting parents with the classroom is the Seesaw app. The teacher creates a "class" where each student and their parent(s) can view and comment on their student's work. When registered, parents will receive an email every time the student's work is submitted. The parent then can view and ask questions or make comments to the teacher and/or student. teachers and students can upload assessments, text docs, videos, audio recordings, and drawings.
Seesaw is accessible on desktops, tablets, and smart phones. It is secure, as only those included in the "classroom" can access that particular class. The creator of the "classroom", usually the teacher, determines who is in the group.
