The app that I chose to use in my classroom is ChatterPix. I chose this because I'm hoping that allowing students to use a different "face" will help them overcome their fears of speaking in a new language. If they are able to mask the fact that it is them speaking, they might be more inclined to speak more without fear of judgement. It can also be used in a variety of different lessons!
ChatterPix is an app that is available on Apple, Android, and Google devices. In Apple, the app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. The app requires iOS 8.0 or later, meaning that it should be accessible to students even if they have a later model phone or device. The app does not require wifi. It can be used by students individually or even in groups. All the app requires to work is a photo and the accompanying voice recording.
