The first one I reviewed wanted donations to buy more flexible seating in their classroom. I love this idea! I’m a firm believer in creating fun spaces for classrooms. I love that the teacher who posted this stated that she has worked hard to create a warm, collaborative, and engaging classroom environment. I think that this is one of the most important parts of creating your classroom, making sure students feel loved and welcome. I also like how she stated that because of the new technology being integrated in classrooms, desks and chairs are becoming more obsolete. I would definitely fund this project!
The second one I reviewed is a teacher looking to get funding for a new promethean board. From what I understand, this is an interactive white board. I am particularly passionate about this one because this is in a low income school who doesn’t have the ability to pay for boards like these. I think this is a great investment and students will be happy to participate, once math is done on an interactive White board. I went to an elementary school that was fortunate enough to receive interactive white boards while I was still there and I loved them so i would definitely fund this project. I love how the teacher talked about how hard her students work and how this would improve her ability to reach all of her students interests.
The third donor choose that I reviewed was requesting donations for the materials needed to teach her students who are in special Ed coding! Being that we have done this all semester long and being able to see how many tools it has equipped me with, I think this would be fantastic for students at a young age to learn. I would also donate to this project because these students are from an area of low socioeconomic status and usually don’t get experiences like these. I think this would be a great investment in preparing students for their future careers at such a young age.
