We participated in a Twitter chat in class to show us as future educators how it works. I believe that using Twitter chats is a great way to get students engaged with a lesson and a great way to promote discussion and critical thinking. I believe it is a tool that is probably more beneficial when class cannot be held face to face so discussion among peers is still happening. I do not believe it would necessarily be beneficial face to face because at that point it makes more sense to have students converse in person. However, I still believe it is a wonderful digital tool to promote class discussion and also helps students learn more about and experience being good digital citizens.
