Artifact 1: Research Question
- You generate a research question based on a wondering that specifies the independent and dependent variables for an experiment.
- You write a reflection that describes:
- What wondering about a physical or biological phenomena was used to generate the question.
- Why we write research questions in science and engineering.
Artifact 2: Experimental Design
- You write an experimental design plan that describes the following features of your experiment:
- independent variable
- dependent variable
- constant variables
- controls (as applicable)
- Trials and justification for the number of trials
Artifact 3: Procedures
- Write a protocol for an experiment you designed.
- Procedural steps are numbered and easy to follow.
- Procedures include materials and quantities used for each step in the experiment.
- Figures that explain the methodology may be included
