Trying it out
I like how it is pretty easy to get things set up and get things going. This would be a easy way for a student to do a graphic organizer or for a presentation on research they have done. Faster and a more interesting way to gather facts!

Popplet would be a great way to teach Main Idea & Supporting Details.
It would also be a great way to organize writing ideas. In math, you could use it to name a mystery number or use it for promoting number fluency with how many ways one can name a certain number. This would be a great way to enhance vocabulary by coming up with synonyms for an ordinary word and place that ordinary word in the center.

Review
I guess this could be used for a concept mapping assignment I was having a rough time with using it - I am sure it can be used with a little practice. I think I like Thing link better because you can add videos etc. But I could have the students make concept map like I said.

The Popplet I uploaded was used as an example for my students. The students were required to research and share their findings on the topic.

I use this for Family Trees, using the preterite in Spanish, and as a mind map activity when we read Don Quijote de La Mancha.

Pro Cons
I like that you can change text color, add pictures etc. There seems to be more freedom to this app than something like padlet.
I also like being able to use lines to connect popples together.
I could see me using this for the different kinds of symbiosis. Place Mutualism, Commensalism and Parasitism as base popples then ask the students to connect examples they find in the reading and homework to the correct popples.

I liked how user friendly Popplet is. I would use it to help kids make connections in science using mind maps.

Awesome visual for students to organize thinking. Great way to brainstorm ideas. Very kid friendly.
This app is great for students to document their ideas surrounding a topic. For example, during a math lesson, students can show different ways to make a number. During a weather unit in science, students could add facts and photographs they feel are worthy of sharing.

Popplet is a Great Tool!
I love that students can organize their thoughts in a visual way using Popplet. I plan to have my students use it for spelling word sorts and brainstorming during writing, such as organizing information when writing biographies.

I like Popplet!
I like Popplet because it is an easy app for kids to use and organize ideas. I also like how a student who is struggling can make a web with two or three bubbles, but a more advanced student can continue with their thinking and show as many ideas as they have! I might use it to name parts of a plant, types of weather, th words, name character traits during a read aloud; really the possibilities are endless!
