I used the exit ticket as part of my KWL chart, the exit ticket was the "L" in what did they learn about Rosa Parks. The second question they answered was what they learned (about Rosa Parks) in todays lesson. The third question, asked by me was for them to name a character trait that describes Rosa Parks. The students liked being able to answer the question on socrative/ using their computers. This was a quick way to gather information about what they learned and be able to see what the most common answer was. It is also a private response between the student who is submitting it and me, that way the student isn't afraid to answer something "wrong". I liked also that the first question asked how well they understood the material. That way I can quickly see if I need to re-teach something or if all of my students are pretty confident in their knowledge of what I taught. I am definitely going to continue using these quick exit tickets in the future.
