By understanding the story elements, you can comprehend, find connections, and make inferences about a story. Read a just right book.

Required Evidence

Setting

Use Google Drawings to draw the setting of the story. Use labels to explain your drawing and different details about the story's setting. If the story's setting changes, draw and label multiple settings. Then upload your picture, type the setting of the story, and provide evidence from the text. More Info

Main Characters/Character Traits

List the main character(s) of your story. For each main character listed, provide 3 character traits that describe that character. Also, give text evidence that supports your character trait for the character(s). More Info

Point of View

Take a picture of one page from your book. Edit your picture by circling three pieces of evidence that explain what point of view the book is written. Finally, add a label to the picture that tells what point of view the book is written in. Upload the picture as evidence. More Info

Plot

Draw, type, or create a diagram that shows the plot of your story. Include each part of the plot: exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. More Info

Problem and Solution

Stories often have several problems. However, there is generally one major problem of the story. What is the main problem of your story. Explain the problem in great detail using evidence from your text. Then, tell the solution to this problem found near the end of the story. More Info
