Participation in VA SIM Network:
I participate in quarterly Virginia SIM network meetings and book studies with fellow SIM professional developers.
Mentoring Apprentices:
Immediately upon my certification in LS, I mentored someone in LS. Several years later after earning dual certification in CER, I mentored two more individuals. As of January 2016, I have mentored eight individuals for CER and eight individuals for LS, some of whom are still working on their certification.
Contributions to SIM List Serve:
When possible, I regularly respond to questions posed on the SIM List Serve. I also share LS and CER Power Points and agenda with fellow SIM professional developers upon request. Also, many years ago, one of my ideas for singing about helping verbs was published in the KUCRL Strategram.

I participated in a webinar hosted by the Teaching Channel a year ago about an app that they’ve developed for uploading videos that have the capability of annotating the video while watching it. The demonstration of this feature looked so promising because the coach and teacher can pose questions and write feedback at specific minute marks within the video. At the time, the app cost was $50 per teacher. The videos are on a private channel of the Teaching Channel. Jim Knight and some instructional coaches presented this webinar about how they were using this app with their schools. I would love to try an online video coaching approach with this feature! Our office recently purchased a swivel device that we’ll be trying out soon.Thank you, Jocelyn
