Reflection

I believe that by being more familiar with the basic apps that come with my iPad I can utilize them to their fullest extent in the classroom. There were many helpful examples even in the quizzes. I am a future math teacher so having children record their voices while doing a problem so I can see their thought processes will be a good use of technology in my future classroom. 

I feel that becoming more familiar with these apps through Apple will be of much use within my future classroom. There are several ways in which students can engage in curriculum while using these apps, which will enhance their learning experience. Implementing work with apps such as iMovie, GarageBand, and Keynote can allow students to express their interests and creativity, while simultaneously demonstrating mastery of concepts. Other apps, such as Pages and Numbers can be useful for me to create lesson plans and presentations, make charts for attendance of students, and file grades in an organized system. I believe becoming an Apple Teacher will benefit both my future students and me as an educator.

I had no idea before that this much of apple basic apps were helpful. Every apple apps are based on necessity and have been carefully designed for users especially for a teacher. In my future class, it will be able to be used in any sort of classes and projects. For example, in my English class, my students can draw a chart of pics of what they have read or what they wrote as an assignment. They also can share with everyone as well as the teacher. I would definitely use it for my future class.

This will allow me to incoperate technology into the classroom in order to teach in a more efficient way. There are many different tools on the ipad that I can use in my elementary classroom. For example, I can use keynote to show presentations to my class and for my students to do a group project using keynote instead of the standard and boring poster. I can have my students use pages to write book reports and response papers and I can use it to make my weekly newsletters. There are many different apps that Apple offers for you to enhance your teaching and your students learning experiences. 

Through Apple Teacher I was able to learn many new tricks for using Apple products and integrating them in the classroom. I enjoyed doing this because it gave scenarios of classroom settings in which I can truly use these apps. The quizzes were a little trickier than I expected, but I'm overall glad I got to complete this. 

I think this is very helpful for my future classroom, because before I took the quizzes and read for the apple teacher badges, I had no idea how to work apps like keynote and pages. Now I can use this information to use technology in my classroom! 

Becoming an Apple teacher is beneficial to teachers and students alike with the rapid advancement of technology in today's world. In my future classroom, utilizing Apple products is intriguing, and makes students want to participate in activities. Technology makes creativity accessible to all students, allows for collaborating, enables teachers to track performances, and so much more. It is vital to keep up with the changing world through the use of technology in the classroom, and Apple products allow students to do this in an engaging way. This makes learning fun for students, in addition to improving their proficiency with technology.

Getting certified as an Apple Teacher exudes the ISTE standard of being a learner. Through completing the quizzes required to become an Apple Teacher, I read an extensive amount of material about each component of the iPad to prepare myself for the quizzes. I learned so much about using an iPad and the apps within in that I had not know prior to completing this badge. I have had this iPad for 2 years now, and Apple products for even longer, and there were still so many useful features for personal use and for the classroom that I did not even know existed. As an educator, it is important that I continue to build my knowledge on technology and stay up to date with current practices and tools. Completing this badge helped me to do that.

This is relevant to my future classroom because I learned new ways to have my students use an Ipad in class for different subjects and different projects. I learned how do use different apps to create fun and engaging assignments for my students. I can use this to create assignments and use technology to teach lessons to my class. The main standard I thought of for this badge is the learner because had to learn how to use the new apps.
