Going through the OER website, I really enjoyed the open-sourced collaboration aspect of the website. Any educator can post their lesson plans on this website to share with other teachers, and they can also review and receive feedback from other educators on how to improve their lesson plans. OER Commons could end up being an incredibly useful tool for me when I become an educator for these exact reasons; when I need ideas for a lesson plan, or when I need suggestions on how to improve my lesson plan, I can go to the OER website for this reason.
The OER process was kind of awkward and difficult for me, to be honest. I was unexperienced in how to use the OER website, and the format was honestly kind of clunky and old-fashioned. In addition, a lot of language used in the OER review process was confusing, and there were words and benchmarks that I found unfamiliar. I had to take a while to familiarize myself with the questions that the review was asking me to answer.
