In answering the 15 FAQs, I was able to devote time to ingest and synthesize the information presented at Institute, through the required readings, and presented in the instructor's manual for several of the learning strategies. Answering these questions forced me to take the time to reflect, and place myself in the hypothetical position of a professional developer of SIM LS within a school or training in the field - preparing me for my role as a SIM LS Professional Developer. I have gained a deeper knowledge and understanding of the research behind the Learning Strategies, and feel much better equipped to undertake my new role as a SIM PDer in Learning Strategies. Additionally, the answers to the 15 questions I selected serve as a reference for me as I serve schools and teachers in Region 2 and 3.
