- Science and social studies teachers began implementing Unit Organizer and FRAME.
- 6th grade English PLC began using Unit Organizer
- Matoaca Middle School hosted a SIM conference for the county and offered professional learning on Unit Organizer and Question Exploration.
- English department was trained on Unit Organizer and began department-wide implementation.
- Coaching PLC begins at Matoaca Middle. This PLC consists of SIM professional developers as well as other teacher leaders who have a passion for coaching. They use the Jim Knight Impact Cycle as their model and meet monthly to discuss coaching best practices and needs of the staff.
- New English, science and social studies teachers were trained on Unit Organizer. Science and social studies teachers were trained on FRAME.

- Matoaca Middle School will host regional SIM Conference.
- The SIM professional developers at Matoaca Middle will connect with SIM professional Developers county-wide and region-wide.
