How I will use edulastic

I will probably use edulastic mainly as an assessment feature.. I love how it grades it for you, and that you can preview it with your class prior to them taking it on their own.

End of quarter standards checklist

Edulastic would be a good tool to collect data on specific standards at the end of the quarter. After already learning and being assessed on different skills throughout the quarter, I could make a cumulative assessment (not for a grade but as another piece of data for determining student mastery of a standard) for students to complete as I get ready to fill out report cards.

ELA

I think that this tool would be great for ELA, I would use it for the formative and summarize tests as well as some ELA quick checks to see students understanding throughout the unit. I love all of the different ways that you can answer a question on this! It would be great practice to help prepare students for state testing in the spring!

Pre/post assessments

This would be a great way for quick checks or as pre/post assessments.  The variety of question types allows me to include reading/writing skills in the assessments as well.   I feel like it could be used to "shake up" the regular tests that we give.

Had some questions and Hopes

After previewing the features I had a couple of questions.
Can I give students feedback? Yes, Yes, I can on individual questions and the overall assessments. That's great because just getting a score is pretty useless to students especially when short answer or essay questions are involved.
How do I save assessments to my files? I didn't find an answer I liked on this one. I didn't find a save for later option anywhere. If there is one I need someone to show me. What I ended up doing was assigning an assessment to a students who is no longer in my class. At least that way I can find the assessment again.
The variety of questions types makes this a go to assessment tool. Nice!

Assessments in Edulastic

I like that you can add in videos to the Edulastic questions. I also love the way that the assessments are interactive. I would use this for reviews of chapters in our book. I would also use this for ACT prep.

Common Assessments

This is a good resource for creating and giving common assessments. The format/layout is very similar to the KS assessment, so it makes good practice for students.

Ways I could use Edulastic

One of the sets of standards that you can search are the ISTE standards. However, there were only 3 applicable quizzes in that area. I think it would be a good way to give quizzes or give easy to monitor work for substitutes. I will definitely recommend it to our math and social studies teachers, since there were a lot of prebuilt questions for those subjects.

How I Would Use Edulastic

I like Edulastic for Formative assssment and exit tickets. I do wish it was more iPad friendly than it seemed to be in preview mode. It could be used in collaboration for common assessments as well.

I thought I knew all about Edulastic but there are so many different features I had no clue about!

I am super pumped about the new features I didn't even know about before! I am going to create more context clues quizzes using the features I discovered while taking tests!

I also want to do a vocabulary matching assessment.
