What app or website will you use to have your students blog?

If I do it, I think that I would use this site, as it seems safe for students to use, and it doesn't look like it's super boring!

Kidblog

Kidblog - Safe Student Publishing

Kidblog enables schools to document student learning over time. With no manual curation required, students' portfolios are built automatically across classes, demonstrating growth year-over-year. Parents can celebrate their children's achievements throughout their academic journey.

Edublogs App

One of the websites I visited recommended Edublogs for higher grade elementary and middle school students. It is a free app that appears to be worth exploring as a resource.

EduBlog

I like the thought of EduBlog.  I feel that it would be safe and easy to use.

Seesaw

Seesaw seems to be a tool that works well for me in TAG. I like that I can approve everything before it's posted, and that students can read and comment on what other students write (even students in other groups). I like that there are also options to post pictures, video, draw and record audio. This gives us some flexibility compared to when I tried to use KidBlog a few years back. I really like that I can invite parents to see their child's journal. This gives parents a chance to see what we're up to in TAG, and also provides accountability for some students who might otherwise try to not do their best work or write about something borderline inappropriate.

Seesaw! It's super easy to put into place because the students are using Seesaw!

Choices! Choices! Choices!

In the past I have had kids use Kidblog but I don't want to pay for it. One year we used SeeSaw. It was easy and worked well. There is just a lot of scrolling. I think my students will take writing for a blog more seriously if it doesn't look like Facebook or Snapchat. So I really like weebly edu. It's free and each student has their own space. To finish out this year, I'll stick to easy- and use Seesaw.

SeeSaw

I just started playing around with SeeSaw and think the app is user friendly and a great way for the students to share about their reading.

Seesaw

I plan on trying out Seesaw in the next few weeks, I would also like to continue using the discussion board feature in Canvas.

SeeSaw

SeeSaw gives the option for students to type their posts and then share within the created class. Then students can respond to others, which is ultimately more engaging.

My Class Blog

I use Seesaw to create my class blog. Once the students submit their item we decide together if they would like to show it off on the class blog.
