Arch Soc at Hands on Humanities day (2019). We taught the public about Palaeolithic Cave Art and allowed them to unleash their inner artist.

ArchSoc. Attached is a copy of the email sent out to all Arch UGs in freshers - saying who we are, upcoming events and how to contact us.

This email shows that I am able to communicate on behalf of EngSoc in a more formal environment as well by adapting my tone and language.

This is a screenshot from our society’s Instagram page, I created a post when I first became the Wellbeing Officer in order to communicate with stakeholders to show them who I am, what my role entails, and how to contact me. This allows stakeholders to efficiently communicate with me and for me to communicate with them. (I have omitted some personal information from the image)

During the time of planning the game night event, I communicated with the Postgraduate Committee to discuss the event details.

In communication, I organised several Committee meetings to discuss the event details. I utilised soft communication techniques to push the process from our members. Besides, I attended meetings with the Student Union to report and explain our event planning, wisely asking for help and feedback. And then I transferred the feedback to the Committee members. Throughout the whole process, I developed advanced communication skills by talking to people on both sides. Most importantly, in order to get a host for the event, I utilised initiatives to persuade one of the Committee members. This made me gain more confidence and achievement in communication.

I also communicated with the Students' Union to update the event plan.

In communication, I also spoke to the Student Union by email to submit the event, book the place, order food and get everything in the place. There was one person in the Student Union, who was in charge of students' events. So we almost communicated every day by email for two weeks before the event. When I did not have the facilities or food I expected, I attempted to negotiate to get better offers.
