Self Awareness Implementation Evidence (Module 1)

Artifact of Implementation

General Directions:

Choose and execute 1 of the following 3 options for implementation. When uploading documents and artifacts, please include your option number in the file name. For example, if you choose to complete option 2 from the following choices, name your implementation documents "option 2" followed by the file name.

Option 1: Theory into Practice

Linked to Leadership in Digital Learning Competencies 1, 2, & 5.                             
Identify an evidence-based Self-Awareness strategy/activity to try with your students. Implement the strategy/activity and create a digital product to document your effort and its outcome. Acceptable digital products to upload include but are not limited to:
  • Student work samples w/explanation
  • Video/picture w/explanation
  • Survey feedback w/explanation
  • Peer observation notes
  • Brief narrative explanation

Option 2: Sharing Practices

Linked to Leadership in Digital Learning Competencies 1, 3, 4, & 5. 
Identify one or more Self-Awareness activity that you have used that you feel would be useful to your colleagues. Share this activity in a PLC, online sharing environment (different from SEL padlets associated with this module), faculty meeting, or with a colleague. After presenting this activity to others, welcome feedback on how this could be improved upon. Upload a description of this activity, an artifact from your previous implementation of this activity, and a description or artifact to explain how you shared this best practice with others. Artifacts include, but are not limited to:
  • Student work samples w/explanation
  • Video/picture w/explanation
  • Survey feedback w/explanation
  • An image or screenshot of information shared via social media w/brief explanation if needed
  • Brief narrative explanation

Option 3: Research & Advocacy Proposal

Linked to Leadership in Digital Learning Competencies 1, 2, 3, & 5.
Identify a Self-Awareness program or practice that your school(s) or our district may want to explore. Create a document with links to the program or practice along with a brief rationale and explanation answering why, where, and how you feel this program/practice should be implemented. One of the links in this document should include a digital means for others to share their thoughts on your proposed program or practice. This document should also include an “elevator pitch” or formal presentation, as well as an explanation of to whom and how you proposed this program/practice. The outcome of this proposal will need to be explained in your reflection (more details under Option 3 in the reflection section of module 1 micro-credential requirements).
