I used explain everything to assess students knowledge of the ways to categorize and analyze the planets. They had to create a diagram that explained one way that they could group the planets into 2 groups. They then explained their thinking and read what they wrote for their summaries out loud and recorded themselves. Some students were unfamiliar with the app, but others were experts and proved to be helpful in teaching other students. I really liked using this app, and plan to use it again soon.
