Very interesting session! I am looking forward to trying this out with my students. Thanks!

Good session!

What a motivating tool to get students to complete and turn in homework and class work. Would love to use badges for reading goals to start out in the classroom!
Also loved the idea of getting parents involved by earning badges by attending school events like open house.

The motivation of badges was clearly apparent from the excitement of your students. The default badges were easy to create.

For students to learn, they need to try, and to try they need motivation. The badges are clearly a great motivational tool, like stickers only better (and cheaper). I've been wanting to gamify my classroom for a while, but I didn't know where to start. I think badges are a great jumping off point that I look forward to sharing with my students and my colleagues.

My first badge, I created for my fellow English 9 teachers, so they can earn it at our next PLC meeting. This way they will get their first taste of this tool in the process, and maybe they will get on board the badge train with me.

I can make a badge! Loved the session, and I plan to find ways to contact you to learn even more. Accomplished speaker badge for sure!

Didn't realize I had more space.  More gushing.  You got me in the door.  Now I can make more badges.  The next thing would be to find a community of English and History teaching types to share ideas for badges with.  If you know anything about this, let me know. donnakohlruss@cusd.com @DK_reads

P.S. Our computer applications elective needs a solid curriculum and I'd love to send them to your website to get ideas for badges/modules to teach kids.

Student thoughts from both bold and shy students made my day! Ready to make badges for my principal to earn to get on board.

Thank you Kari!

I loved watching the video of how badges have impacted your students and their learning. Would they be interested in doing a joint BadgeList group with our Genius Bar students? Also, I didn't realize I can embed my badges into my website, so I just embedded my Annual CUE speaker badge into my personal website: http://www.marielleventurino.com/resume/badges

Badge Maker

I loved learning how to make some really fun badges to help motivate my students to learn and be engaged with any activity in class.  In learned that these can help me to give feedback and set goals for students!
